We now operate on a 12-month rolling membership basis valid from the time of joining, with the fees being:

Adults (over 18 years on 1st January)                                    £67 + £20 joining fee                                                                                                                  (first year only)

Juniors (under 18 on 1st January)                                         FREE – with no joining fee

Please note that those aged under 18 when they go to the flying field or Club Nights must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.

IMPORTANT

As Wicken MAC is affiliated to the British Model Flying Association (BMFA), a condition of membership is that you MUST also be a member of the BMFA . This organisation not only looks after the rights and interests of model fliers at a national level, it also provides third party insurance cover and offers a host of benefits.

In addition, it is a legal requirement that you be registered with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) if flying model aircraft that weigh more than 100g – and this also involves passing a basic proficiency test on-line. This is explained here.

You are responsible for paying both your BMFA membership fee and CAA annual registration.

New members

In the first instance, please make contact with our Club Secretary [email protected] who will arrange for you to visit the field and meet fellow members. Once you have been introduced and decided to join, then we will give instructions on how to pay  via the membermojo membership management system.

Current members

You will initially be advised 28 days before your current membership expires – and then be sent further reminders via the membermojo automated system. Then just follow the instructions.
